Why can’t you choose me? Every time you take a drink, a pill, a toke do I run through your thoughts at all even if for just a moment? You wonder why I havnt said a word all week to you, to anyone actually. Look in the mirror and just what i see. You want to see me as a little girl then look into my eyes and see the little girl who dies a little more inside when she hears another one of your lies. It breaks my heart that I cant help you. It breaks my heart that you keep trying laugh it off. It breaks my heart that any slight fix is only temporary. I would crumble if it weren’t for the people that i love.
Yet you’ll never see this because this was written out of sorrow. Maybe one day I’ll actually tell you but until then well stand here. You with that smug grin and me with a knife plunged into my back.
